The Clever Boys have started the 2016/17 season well and are undefeated heading into the clash, with Msandawana having only played one match in the Absa Premiership which ended in a draw with Maritzburg United.
For Gavin Hunt’s side, reaching the final ends a spell of three successive semi-final exits from 2013 onwards. This will be their first final in the competition since they claimed their second trophy in 1995 beating out Kaizer Chiefs.
Pitso Mosimane’s side haven’t reached the final since 2008 where they were beaten by Kaizer Chiefs on penalties and will be looking to secure silverware. They have three trophies in the history of the cup, winning their last trophy in 2007.
With the contest so evenly balanced we look to be set for a cracking encounter.
