Salmon Takes Over Wits’ MDC Side

Former SuperSport United striker, Glen Salmon, has taken over the position of head coach at Bidvest Wits’ Multichoice Diski Challenge side.
The 37-year-old forward is currently the Head of Youth in Braamfontein, however will be doubling up as Wits’ MDC head coach as he looks to take the next step in his coaching career.
Salmon, who spent several years plying his trade overseas, retired from professional football back in 2012, and has since spent his time helping nurture the Clever Boys’ young talent as well as undergoing a series of coaching courses.
The ex-forward’s first task will be to help his side see off Ajax Cape Town on Sunday morning as he seeks to get his tenure with the side off to a winning start.
All of this weekend’s games, on both Saturday and Sunday, will be held at Makhulong Stadium in Tembisa, Johannesburg.
