Bidvest Wits takes home top honours

This season saw a focused, driven and on-form Bidvest Wits side, and rewarded them with top honours in the Absa Premiership Q-Innovation.

The Clever Boys and Pretoria based Mamelodi Sundowns have been announced as the winners for quarter one and quarter two respectively.

The Braamfontein outfit will take home a well deserved R 1, 5 million for their performance.

“We are incredibly proud and excited to be recognised as the winners in quarter one. The team performed well and worked hard at every game. This win is a testament to a great team dynamic and the preparation we put into every fixture,” said Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt. 

 The Braamfontein Outfit finished the first quarter with twenty points on the log from eight matches played with Mamelodi Sundowns following with sixteen points from their eight matches. This followed their quarter one win in the 2015/16 season with nineteen points secured over eight games.
