Thulani Hlatshwayo, Buhle Mkhwanazi and S’fiso Hlanti were all in action on Saturday as the South African National Team drew 1-1 with Nigeria at the FNB Stadium, in a crucial AFCON qualifier.
Bidvest Wits and Bafana captain, Hlatshwayo, led the team into this vital clash against a dangerous opponent in the Super Eagles.
Nigeria took the lead in the 10th minute, but it didn’t take long for Bafana to respond through Lebo Mothiba after some brilliant work by Percy Tau.
Bafana are in a good position to qualify for Afcon 2019, if they avoid defeat in their final encounter away to Libya. But, next up is the Nelson Mandela Challenge vs Paraguay at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Tuesday, 20 November.
