17 matches into the 2018/19 Absa Premiership season, Bidvest Wits find themselves at the summit of the league table – With 10 wins, 3 draws and 4 losses from those 17 matches.
Gavin Hunt has prepared his men well for the second half of the season, while the emergence of game changers in Deon Hotto, Elias Pelembe and Terrence Dzvukamanja has complimented a solid defence.
Hotto is the league’s leader in assists while also chipping in with his fair share of goals. Pelembe and Dzvukamanja have stepped up in recent weeks, at a critical time where the Clever Boys have grinded out some important results against Black Leopards, Baroka FC, Chippa United and Free State Stars.
Defensively, Hunt’s men have conceded less goals than any other team, apart from Mamelodi Sundowns who have played significantly less games.
With 13 matches to go in the 2018/19 Absa Premiership season, a massive four matches approaches for the Clever Boys who will look to continue in similar fashion collecting 3 points and ensuring a tight defence, while getting the goals that matter at the opposite end.
