The Clever Boys had the first real chance of the game in the 13th minute after dominating the opening 10 minutes, with Gabadinho Mhango unable to find the target from close range.
Platinum Stars opened the scoring four minutes later from a corner, Robert Ng’ambi on target with his header to beat Darren Keet and hand his side the lead.
Hunt’s side went back on the offensive immediately, creating chance after chance, Thabang Monare coming closest in the 31st minute when his effort struck the upright.

The second half saw two attacking changes brought on in the form of Amr Gamal and Gerald Phiri as the hosts continued to search for an equaliser.

With the clock winding down Eleazar Rodgers and Gamal both had great chances to level matters but failed to trouble Visser in goal.
Stars were living on the edge with 11 men behind the ball for most of the second half but managed to keep The Clever Boys at bay to secure three points on the road.
