Bidvest Wits defender Keegan Ritchie is confident that the club will return to winning ways when they take to the field at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium on Thursday evening.
The Clever Boys were last in Absa Premiership action back in November with back-to-back Caf Confederations Cup fixtures resulting in the postponement of their league commitments.
Wits play three league fixtures within the space of three days. The game away to Arrows is followed by a showdown against the defending champions, Mamelodi Sundowns, at Moses Mabhida Stadium before the Braamfontein-based club play host to Cape Town City at Bidvest Stadium on the 20th of November.
“We started off very well, among the top teams for the first few weeks, but we’ve let that slip now. Yes, we have a lot of games in hand, but we just need to take it game by game and try and get results,” Ritchie told the club’s official website.
“It is going to be a tough game, away from home, Arrows are a good side, but if we focus on our game we can beat them and get the three points.
“We are solid at the back, we don’t concede easy goals. We have good speed on the wings and big boys up front,” Ritchie added when asked to comment on the club’s strengths.
Wits currently occupy ninth place on the log standings, but have played up to six games less than some of their league rivals.
