The return of Hlatshwayo, Hlanti and Monare gives the Clever Boys a massive boost ahead of tonight's encounter vs Kaizer Chiefs

We are back in Absa Premiership action – hosting Kaizer Chiefs at the Bidvest Stadium, in an encounter that could assert our position at the top of the log.

Gavin Hunt has prepared his team thoroughly during the ‘festive break’ – where he could his men back into training much earlier than any other team in the league.

Wits got off to great start in 2019 with a 2-1 win away to Free State Stars at Goble Park, a win that put the Clever Boys firmly in the driving seat.

Hunt received a massive boost as skipper Thulani Hlatshwayo, S’fiso Hlanti and Thabang Monare all make their way back into the squad. Hlanti and Monare served their respective suspensions, while Hlatshwayo missed out on our last match due to an injury he suffered in our match away to Baroka in December 2018.

A boost in both defence and midfield puts the Clever Boys in a fantastic position to have a go at Kaizer Chiefs who come off a loss to Mamelodi Sundowns over the weekend.
