Being new to The Clever Boys squad, forming bonds and building friendships all forms part of signing with a new club: “I have played alongside some of the players before and I know Pelembe, Shongwe and Mkhwanazi. I am trying to get to know each and every single player by interacting with them on a daily basis.”
With 11 days left of pre-season, Malajila said that he can’t complain about training – it has been hard but they are all professional football players and this is what it takes to get ready for the season.
The Clever Boys went to Stellenbosh for 7 days of intense work and pre-season planning; “The camp was great, we played some friendlies and the team worked really hard. The most difficult part of the camp for me was getting up at 05h00 in the morning to be at the gym by 06h00. Going on the camp prepares our mind and body for the challenges of a new season.”
Bidvest Wits will play their first match of the season against Kaizer Chiefs on Tuesday the 23rd of August; “ As a team, we are ready for the first match and excited to be playing at home – so far so good. We can’t wait for the games to come.”
